STEM at Meadow View Learning

Our labs and some of our activities

We have a lab room and a science area at Meadow View where the children can explore many topics.

Folding@Home

We have a team at https://foldingathome.org/  which is a distributed computing project for simulating protein dynamics, including the process of protein folding and the movements of proteins implicated in a variety of diseases. It brings together citizen scientists who volunteer to run simulations of protein dynamics on their personal computers and scientific researchers. Insights from these data are helping scientists to better understand biology and providing new opportunities for developing therapeutics.

Please join us and together we can make a difference in medical science.

Science area

We have chemistry and physics equipment for the kids to do experiments in these areas.

Lab room

In our Lab we have a 3D printer and computers set up with software to design and modify files.  We use this room for engineering and other related projects so the children can explore different aspects of machinery and interacting with the physical world.
