Learning Program (Grades 2–12)
Meadow View Learning offers two program options within a structured weekly learning model. Both programs provide guided instruction, enrichment, and a consistent community environment, with varying levels of academic support.
Program Options
5-Day Core Learning Program (Monday–Friday)
Full-week learning program with integrated Math, Language Arts, and enrichment.
Designed for families seeking consistent academic instruction alongside enrichment and community life.
3-Day Enrichment Learning Program (Wednesday–Friday)
Enrichment-focused program. Math and Language Arts instruction are not included and should be provided at home or through an alternate program.
This program includes participation in the enrichment portion of the weekly schedule, including science, history, and applied learning experiences.
Weekly Structure
The program follows a consistent weekly rhythm, with each day serving a distinct role within the learning cycle:
- Monday–Tuesday: Math and Language Arts instruction (Core Learning Program only)
- Wednesday–Friday: Enrichment, science, history, and applied learning (both programs)
Program Overview
- Guided instruction in Math, Language Arts, and enrichment areas
- Individualized learning within a structured and consistent framework
- Ongoing progress monitoring and communication with families
- Emphasis on critical thinking, problem-solving, and strong work habits
- Development of responsibility, independence, and life skills
- Small group learning, projects, and hands-on experiences
- Off-site learning opportunities and field studies
Daily Program Highlights
S.T.E.M. Wednesdays
Wednesdays focus on scientific thinking, investigation, and applied learning. Students engage with core science concepts through guided instruction, hands-on experiments, and discussion.
Instruction emphasizes:
- foundational scientific understanding
- curiosity and analytical thinking
- forming and testing ideas
- connecting concepts to real-world application
Students are expected to document their thinking and collaborate appropriately, developing both academic and work habits.
Geography, History, & Movement Thursdays
Thursdays integrate history, geography, and physical activity to support both intellectual and physical development.
Students explore:
- historical themes, timelines, and cultures
- geography, mapping, and the physical world
- connections between people, place, and events
Learning is reinforced through discussion, projects, and hands-on activities. The day includes an outdoor physical education component.
Enrichment Fridays
Fridays focus on enrichment, life skills, and creative application.
Depending on age and development, students may participate in:
- life skills instruction (organization, communication, problem-solving)
- art and creative projects
- gardening and applied science
- music and rhythm
- mentorship and independent work for older students
Friday programming supports independence, initiative, and the application of learning across the week.
Program Hours
8:55 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Students in grades 10+ may have adjusted schedules based on academic needs, including dual enrollment or individualized planning.
Commitment & Expectations
The program is designed for families who value consistency, accountability, and partnership.
Students are expected to participate in a consistent weekly schedule, as continuity is essential to both learning progress and community life.
Meadow View Learning is an educational program and learning community, not a school of record. Families retain responsibility for their child’s primary education.
Charter Funding
Charter funding may be applied to Wednesday–Friday instructional days only.
Charter-funded participation applies to the Enrichment Learning Program or the Wednesday–Friday portion of the Core Learning Program. Math and Language Arts instruction is not included in charter-funded services.
Charter-funded program rates:
- Wednesday: $200/month
- Thursday: $200/month
- Friday: $200/month
All charter-funded instruction is secular in nature.
Enrollment Process
Enrollment begins with a conversation and program tour to ensure alignment and fit.
We offer rolling enrollment as space allows. When programs are full, families may join a waitlist and will be notified as openings become available.
Supplemental & Enrichment Programs
The following instructional days are available as part of the Enrichment Learning Program (Wednesday–Friday) and may be eligible for charter funding, subject to charter policies and availability.
Students enrolled in the 5-Day Core Learning Program may also apply charter funding to the Wednesday–Friday portion of their schedule, where permitted by their charter program.
Instruction is provided in structured, instructor-led group settings with defined learning activities and objectives. Each day represents a distinct instructional focus within the enrichment program.
Grades: 2–12 (differentiated grouping and expectations)
Hours: 8:55 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Charter funding applies to Wednesday–Friday instructional days only.
Single-day or stand-alone enrollment is not available.
All charter-funded instruction is secular in nature.
S.T.E.M. Wednesdays
Focus on scientific thinking, investigation, and applied learning.
Students engage in:
- guided science instruction
- hands-on experiments and observation
- discussion and documentation of ideas
Emphasis is placed on building foundational understanding, analytical thinking, and real-world application.
Charter-eligible: $200/month
Geography, History, & Movement Thursdays
Integrated study of history, geography, and physical development.
Students engage in:
- exploration of historical themes and cultures
- mapping and geographic understanding
- connections between people, place, and events
Includes project-based learning and an outdoor physical education component.
Charter-eligible: $200/month
Applied Learning, Life Skills & Arts Fridays
Focus on applied learning, practical skills, and creative expression.
Students engage in structured activities that may include:
- visual art and creative projects
- organization, planning, and communication skills
- gardening and outdoor-based learning
- collaborative and independent work
Instruction emphasizes creativity, independence, responsibility, and the application of skills across contexts.
