Our story

Why our founders built Meadow View

Our volunteer founders created Meadow View Learning for the purpose of providing a wholesome and “old school” learning environment for children in our community.

We integrated the best elements we believe make a student’s learning experience effective and memorable:

  • consistent rules
  • appropriate challenge
  • personalized learning
  • adults who believe in the students
  • plenty of fresh air
  • outside time
  • physical exercise
  • field trips
  • real-world discussions from a Christian world-view
  • integrated virtues learning/practice
  • consistent daily rhythm
  • annual events
  • student responsibility
  • life skills practice
  • choice within structure
  • small-group lessons
  • hands-on materials
  • presentation and performance opportunities
  • mixed-age environment
  • parent showcases
  • engaging projects
  • rich academic and enrichment experiences
  • real books
  • good old-fashioned pencil and paper
